What Happens to Your Body During and After GLP-1 Weight Loss?

GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro® and Zepbound® have changed the weight-loss conversation. For many people, significant weight loss can be exciting. Clothes fit differently. The number on the scale drops. Areas that have been difficult to change for years may finally become smaller.

But there is another part of the transformation that isn't talked about nearly enough:
Your body doesn't always look the way you imagined it would after losing the weight.
You may be smaller but notice loose-looking skin on your stomach. Your upper arms may appear softer or more crepey. Your thighs may still have cellulite. Your buttocks may have lost some of their fullness. Or you may simply look smaller without having the firmness and definition you expected.
These changes aren't necessarily a sign that your weight-loss journey wasn't successful.
They can be part of what happens when the size and composition of your body change especially after substantial or relatively rapid weight loss.
At Body Balance Sculpting, we believe this is where the next phase of your transformation begins.

What Can Happen to Your Body While Losing Weight on a GLP-1?
GLP-1 medications can support significant weight loss for many people. But as the number on the scale changes, your skin, muscle tone, body shape, and overall contours can change too.
GLP-1 medications are prescription medications used for specific medical indications and should be prescribed and managed by a qualified healthcare professional. Body Balance Sculpting does not prescribe GLP-1 medications or provide medical management.
What we can help with are the cosmetic body concerns that may become more noticeable during and after significant weight loss.

Why One Machine Isn't Always the Answer
This is where Body Balance Sculpting is different.
We don't believe every client should walk through the door, lie down under the same machine, and receive the exact same treatment. Your body, your concerns, and your goals are individual and your treatment plan should be too.
We also don't believe in nickel-and-diming you by charging separately for every individual step or modality your customized session may need.
Depending on your assessment, goals, and treatment suitability, we may incorporate multiple non-invasive approaches within your customized sessions when appropriate, rather than making you purchase a completely separate program every time your body needs something different.
Your personalized plan may incorporate approaches for:
• Skin Firming
• Body Contouring
• Muscle Toning
• Cellulite Smoothing
• Hydration
• Skin Conditioning
• Body Definition
• Shaping
And here's what makes that especially important during and after significant weight loss:
Your body can continue to change.
What you need at the beginning of your program may not be what you need several sessions later. We can reassess your progress and adjust the focus of your treatments as your body evolves.
You're Investing in a Customized Plan - Not Paying for a Menu of Machines
At Body Balance Sculpting, we aren't trying to sell you every machine or treatment separately. We're focused on choosing the combination of approaches that makes sense for your body and your goals. That means we can do more than simply put you on one machine and send you home.
